How to Become a Man of Purpose

Everything God created including mankind He created it for a specific purpose.

Purpose according to “merriam-webster means;

a

something set up as an object or end to be attained INTENTION

b

RESOLUTIONDETERMINATION

Apart from God, life has no meaning and no purpose. Teach men that God has a purpose for their lives. Teach your men that God has eternal and earthly purposes. Teach your men that all men are alike in certain respects and, as such, God prescribes four universal earthly purposes for all men. Teach your men that God also has a personal earthly purpose for each man. That purpose is the unique way in which God blends the four universals together in time, place, relationships, work, and so forth. It looks like this:

I. Eternal Purpose
God’s eternal purpose for us is eternal life.

II. Earthly Purpose
God’s earthly purpose for us is to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Each man is unique, and God gives each a different personal life purpose (Philippians 2:13; Acts 17:26; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Peter 4:10-11). Like a fingerprint, one’s life purpose is a one-of-a-kind set of marching orders that combines the four universal purposes to which God calls all men. That unique combination draws from a man’s spiritual gifts, natural abilities, acquired competencies, assigned times and places, roles, deeds, service, love, and the Spirit–all of which issue from Jesus Christ.

The #1 Prayer Response Army

With the insane level of uncertainty that is facing the world. Believers are responding with prayer. There is no better time than now for God’s people to respond to the devastation that is plaguing our every day lives.

The development of Covid-19 has been as rapid as it has been deadly. In the space of a few months it has turned from a minor news item from a part of China few of us had heard of, to the global pandemic that has been the stuff of disaster planning for the last 50 years.

From November 2020 till the writing of this article men and women have been gathering every Sunday 4:30PM (ECT) and every Tuesday 6:30PM of which every other Tuesday is dedicated to prayer and encouragement for businesses.

Church Leaders Are Responding to COVID-19 Challenges:

Churches are affected. Meeting for worship, Bible study, and fellowship, Christian congregations often represent the largest weekly gatherings in their communities. Church members sit near one another. They shake hands. They hug. They share meals. However, those routine interactions can easily facilitate disease transmission from one person to another.

So, what should church leaders do to keep members safe? How can churches protect themselves and spread the Gospel at the same time?

We have engaged the technology via zoom to connect with powerful men and women of God from all over the world to prayer with one voice to God.

Here are three ways we responded to the dangers and disruptions associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

  1. Prayer for Personal Revival

Believers are not immune to anxiety. He should strive to know, Jesus and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings (Philippians 3:10). “That I may know Him”. Develop a holy dissatisfaction. Ask God to grant you a holy desire to seek Christ in the Written Word.

2. Prayer for the local Church and Ministries

The church that prays for revival prays for a great awakening (Acts 3:19-20). There is a reason the revivals in early America are referred to as the Great Awakenings. If there is anything needed today it is an awakening from our slumber.

We are so sleepy toward God, even the best among us. Our God-sensibilities, by and large, are so dreary that many Christians no longer even pick up their Bible. Entertainment has dulled us, yes, but the problem is deeper than that.

We haven’t merely been entertained by other things, we have failed to be awed by God. The church that prays for revival, then, is praying for an awakening to God. They are praying for times of refreshing from the Lord.

3. Prayer for the Nation

The disciples of Jesus are the salt of earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). If we lose our saltiness or hide our light, what hope will be left for the lost people of our nation? Our relentless cry must join with the psalmist:

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? (Psalm 85:6)

Prayer and repentance are two of the chief means by which God accomplishes His purposes. The Fathers will be hearing and responding to the cries of His children.

The Prayer Response Army

Prayer
Pray these prayers for revival of God’s people. Pray with zealous passion and determination to have what you seek, according to the word of God (Luke 18:1-8).

  1. I exalt you, King of the nations, who righteously reigns over the earth in perfect wisdom and strength.
  2. I praise You, Father, for the (call your country) and for all of its blessings.
  3. I thank You, God, for the Church You have raised up in (call your country) from generations past through today.
  4. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we praise You now for Your love and power to do the impossible.

Faith and Finances

By R Irvin Paddier

Stand and be in prayer, exercise your faith for financial breakthrough, and believe God for the increase and victory you need in your finances today!

Life is full of losses. It’s sobering to remember that nothing around us is permanent.

Everyone will go through seasons of loss where they lose their finances, jobs, health, marriage, or loved ones. When people go through seasons of loss, they need the support and perspective of others.

Helping people deal with seasons of loss is an important part of ministry. It’s not your job to explain all the tragedies of life. But here Men of Purpose Business Prayer and  Encouragement every other Tuesday gives you a reason to hope for the future.

To learn more about biblical Faith and Finances principles, take a look at this list of verses that address wealth, debt, stewardship, tithing, and more.

1 Timothy 5:8: But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.
Luke 16:11: And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?
Proverbs 13:22: Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.
Proverbs 21:20: The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.

On Giving
Luke 6:38: Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
Proverbs 3:9-10: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
Malachi 3:8-10: “Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! “But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?’ “You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”
Deuteronomy 16:17: All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God.
Luke 21:1-4: While Jesus was in the Temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box. Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small coins. “I tell you the truth,” Jesus said, “this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.”

How to Properly Steward What God Has Given You

In these Bible verses about faith and finances, we see some main principles:
God blesses those who make money through honest work rather than sinful practices.
God calls us to pay back what we owe and help those who have helped us.
It’s wise for us to plan, thinking through how we’ll make money, and spend money.
Saving money can help set us up for future financial success.
6. Dishonest money dwindles away (Proverbs 13:11)
“Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.”
7. Pay what you owe to others (James 5:4-6)
“Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.”
8. A wise man thinks ahead (Proverbs 13:16)
“A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t, and even brags about it!”
9. The plans of the diligent lead to profit (Proverbs 21:5)
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”
10. Sit down and estimate the cost (Luke 14:28)
“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
11. It is wise to store up wealth (Proverbs 30:24-25)
“Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;”
12. Provide for your household (1 Timothy 5:8)
“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
13. Be not one of those who give pledges (Proverbs 14:23)
